When you’re having those wonky kinds of days that seem to go on forr-ee-vver, what do you do when it takes everything you have to keep going and put one foot in front of the other?
What about those days where you just can’t seem to get up and off the sofa any longer than for a trip to the fridge and back down again?
Does any of that sound or feel familiar?
There are a gozillion tips and tools to ‘trick’ your mind into getting yourself in gear. One powerful tool is the blessed gift of Gratitude. The life force energy of gratitude musters up a well-spring of energy that seems to circumvent the brain and goes directly into the heart which gets the spirit involved which shifts everything!
One action I take while sitting on that proverbial sofa is to close my eyes, place my hand on my heart, and take a few moments to really look at my life, my family, friends, physical possessions, my health. By looking at all of the blessings in my life, small and big, something begins to happen inside of me.
My shoulders lift up, a smile comes over my face, my forehead softens, my spirit perks up and I have bursts of energy that seem to come from nowhere. I then begin acknowledging these blessings outloud naming family members, naming close calls that I or they were spared from, the people in my life who believe in me and who are cheering me on to do my best every single day.
All of these actions open up the fountain of lightness within me and everything changes. My mood shifts, my desires come alive again and no longer does the sofa feel like the best place to be on the planet!
This week is one of those days when I have the privilege and honor of spending an hour with one of our planet’s greatest living vessels of Gratitude…Geetha Krishnan. I will be her Guest Speaker this Thursday, June 9th at 8:am CST on her global telecall Dynamic Growth With Gratitude. You can register and join us by going to her Facebook page Dynamic growth with Gratitude.
As a special treat on the call, I’ll be guiding the gratitude community in a live 10 minute mini-TAT session. TAT® (Tapas Acupressure Technique) is a gentle, easy process which helps you be yourself – free and happy by clearing up the emotional origins of experiences such as trauma, grief, physical issues, and negative beliefs. By using the statements and the pose, you free those parts of yourself that are stuck so you can create the life you desire and deserve! Thus having even more space for gratitude energy in your life.
A spirit of gratitude is definitely a game changer! It is one of the main ingredients we have to help us lighten up all over! Can you remember times in your life where you were ‘in the pits’ and by using the power of gratitude everything turned around and your spirit was once again fully nourished?
I’d love to read about your experiences with gratitude. Please share your inspirational stories with us.
