Velma, somedays I leave home with a plan of action and list of errands. Right up front, something happens to put my plan on hold. I feel frustrated which changes my whole mood for the rest of my day. Does this happen to you when you have a certain plan and then something happens that changes everything? What do you do when this happens?
Answer: Yes, I totally understand. It does happen to me too. Matter of fact, I’ll share a story with you that I recently experienced.
I was in our local AT&T store standing at the counter being waited on when another lady walked up to be served. She saw the emblem on my shirt and asked if I worked at Woman’s Hospital. I corrected her to the group logo and explained that WCGBR is a group of women who help other people around town.
She said, “I need help.”
“What’s up?” I asked.
She was involved in the flood in August, had lost everything and spoke about how hard times are now and that it would take forever to replace all that she had lost.
I sat down as she took a call. She came back and said, “This is hard,” and asked “have you ever felt like this?”
Yes I had.
“What did you do?
I told her that I learned techniques to help me heal and clear all that out.
“Like what?” she asked.
I stood up in front of her and said, “cross your hands over your heart and close your eyes and place your attention on “it flooded, all of this flooding happened.”
After a minute, she smiled and pointed to her chest and high heart area and said, “I feel it here.”
“Do it again and place your attention on it happened, its over now, I’m okay, and I can relax.”
After a minute more, she said, “I feel a little something but I don’t know what.”
“Do it again and place your attention on I now choose to resonate, identify, vibrate and connect with it’s over, I’m okay, I’m happy and I can rebuild my life slowly a little at a time.”
She said, ” I feel like I want to hug you.” We did. She’s smiling from ear to ear.
God definitely had a different day planned for me than I had for myself.
So what I do when my day changes is keep an open mind and trust that everything happens, happens for a reason, sometimes beyond what I can see.
